About Us
Internettroy was launched in 1998 as a committee of the Troy Chamber of Commerce. Much of its activity focused on providing workshops on elements of the Internet for fellow business members.

In 2000, approximately two dozen Troy Chamber members expanded the focus and mission of this group. Today, Internettroy exists "to help Troy Chamber member Internet-related firms prosper and to position and promote Troy as the premier Internet/technology center in Michigan!"

To achieve that ambitious goal, Internettroy produced WebWeeks 2001, a month-long 14-event promotion combing education and training programs, high profile issue discussions and its first "Best of the Web" awards initiative. In addition, it designed its first website, internettroy.com.

In 2002, the committee supported the Michigan IT Summit as an in-kind sponsor of its eLearning in Business seminar. In June, the committee paired up with Automation Alley at ITEC to present a seminar about the pros and cons of outsourcing IT services. In the fall, the committee presented a session on advanced manufacturing as well as its annual Helen eWard ceremony at the Big Idea Creative Expo.

To be included in the Internettroy.com resource guide and Internettroy Committee, businesses must be members of the Troy Chamber. For information, contact Claudia Mills, Director of Membership, at 248-641-3929 or e-mail: claudia@troychamber.com.
